DL News: Arsenal chasing Cavani?

'I like Cavani as a player', said Arsene.

Who doesn't?

Although Napoli has confirmed that the striker won't be leaving the club in the winter transfer market, Arsene is ready to spend up to 30 million pounds for an immediate reinforcement, said sources.

'Our banker is ready to spend money if we can find the right man', said the manager.

Some stats for your liking:

Scoring 16 goals leading Napoli to third spot, 5 points behind league leader Juventus this season, double that up and Cavani will get 32 goals a season, an impressive scoring record.

In 86 apprearances, Cavani has scored 69 goals, once making him the all-time top goal scorer for a club in one season at Napoli.

Cavani is very prolific goalscorer, what  I like about him is his ability to score impressive goals and his tireless work-rate. His style of play is similar to Falcao too.

So, will Arsenal finally found a man who can replace RVP?

My concern is, however, that Cavani style may not fit Arsenal's.

We have seen what happened with Podolski, who has been played out of his position and game plan. Instead of a counter-attacking style that fits Poldi, he has to find himself adapt to the possession and passing game of Arsenal.

And Cavani may well have to take time to adapt to Arsenal's game too, and may not be able to score as much as he could.
Cavani, on his way to the Emirates?
But, all is rumours, nothing is too significant at the moment. I do really hope that Arsenal can get this man, then we can speculate other things.

In other news, Arsene is '99% sure that Walcott will sign a new deal', and has tipped him to be a better player when he finish the deal.
