Match Preview | Swansea - FA Cup Replay

Wenger's time will end if his cup campaign end here.

Evening Gooners,

I am a new admin on The Arsenal Way, my name is Steven. My job is to inform you on all things arsenal!

Here we go!

This is a preview for our upcoming game against Swansea City in the FA Cup third round replay.
Some facts for your liking,

Head-to-head
• Arsenal have won six, drawn two and lost five of the 13 previous league and cup meetings with Swansea. That includes a 2-0 defeat at the Emirates in the Premier League last month.
• Four goals were shared in the initial tie at the Liberty Stadium, and three of those came in a frantic six-minute spell at the close of the game when Swansea striker Danny Graham got the vital equaliser to force this replay. The winners will visit Newcastle's conquerors Brighton in the fourth round.
• Arsenal beat Swansea Town in the fourth round in 1950 on their way to winning the competition.

Team News
Mikel Arteta Thomas Rosicky (both calf) will miss the game. Laurent Koscielny (suspension) will miss out after a red card picked up against Manchester City at the weekend. Abou Diaby is set to make the team again after returning from (another) injury.

Match Preview
Although he had faced criticism in the past few month, Wenger will go all out tonight to maintain his record in the FA Cup, which, for those who don't know, is never exiting the FA Cup in the Fourth Round. A statistic a lot of managers can't boast. Theo Walcott looks set to be back into the centre with Podolski and The Ox on the flanks. If Theo is on form we should see a few goals slipping past Vorm. (Thankfully) Mr Gervinho is away to the African Cup of Nations. Defensively, Mertesacker and Vermaelen have been pretty sound so far this season, but with the beast of Michu, this would be the wrong time to have a bad night.
Please don't let it go to penalties.

Arsenal Vs Swansea - FA Cup, 7.30pm.

Stay positive gooners
Cheers,
Steven
