Schalke will be tough.
Hi all,
So, we are expected to bounce back after a shocking defeat at Carrow Road. A day where we all want to move on from it as soon as possible. We will be wanting to keep our perfect record after 2 out of 2 wins in the Champions League.
Schalke will be our toughest opponent in this group as the German giant looks to take the best out of us. We have met them before in the 2001-02 Group Stage, winning 3-2 at home and losing 1-3 in Gelsenkirchen.
We will also have Koscielny back so maybe a good chance for Wenger to rotate the squad.
Well, that is a relief. Their lastest one I can think of was against Man United in 2011. They got smashed 4-1 at Old Trafford. But that was when they have Neuer. We will be in trouble if he's there still.
Schalke is currently sitting 3rd in their league while we are 9th. Making them the more favourable side.
We are missing Diaby, Ox and Theo. But will still have Poldi and Cazorla which are on their top form.
Giroud has also set up 2 goals from the opening 2 matches, making him the joint-top assister in the league.
Good to know that the man who "unserviced" in our lost at Norwich actually making good progress in the league which expected to be harder.
Goalkeeping. We have 3. All unproven. Except for Scerzny which I think his confidence lift him above the other 2. But he's not a proper one, still too immature. We need experience Wenger!
We are seems to be dealing with a team full with injuries as well. So it shouldn't be too hard.
Our summer signing Lukas Podolski also got himself 2 goals already in this league and continuing with his hotshot is the Ivorian Gervinho.
Predictions: 3-1
We will have our home advantage and may just edge them through. Just don't concede an early goal and we should be fine.
